Add an Android phone

EvidentlySo for Windows reads your Android phone’s messages through Google Messages for web. You pair your phone once by scanning a code.

What you need

• Your Android phone, with Google Messages as its texting app.
• A Windows PC with EvidentlySo for Windows installed.
• Your phone and your PC both online.

Pair your phone

1. On your PC, open EvidentlySo.
2. Click Add a phone, then Android. A QR code appears.
3. On your phone, open Messages.
4. Tap your profile picture (top right), then Device pairing.
5. Tap QR code scanner and point your phone at the code on your PC.
6. Wait until EvidentlySo shows your conversations.

Make your PDF

1. Choose a conversation and its dates.
2. Click Generate PDF. It’s saved to your Dropbox.

If your phone uses another texting app

Google Messages for web works only with Google Messages. If your phone uses a different texting app, such as Samsung Messages, set Google Messages as your texting app first, then pair.
