- The short version: we never collect or store your message content
- What stays on your phone and in your Dropbox (messages, pictures, exports), and that we can’t access it
- App permissions: text messages (required, to copy them); Contacts (optional, used only to show names in your capture). The app saves only the names for numbers in your messages, and only to your own Dropbox. Your address book never leaves your phone. [APP: confirm before launch]
- What we do collect: the license, whether your purchase or subscription is active, an anonymous ID for your phone (used to enforce one phone per license), and app version for update checks. Never message content, contacts, or phone numbers. The app has no analytics and sends no crash reports. [APP: confirm before launch]
- Payment data: handled by Stripe/Link as seller of record; we never see card numbers
- Dropbox connection: the app uses its own App folder in your Dropbox; what that permission allows
- Website: cookies and analytics, if any (recommend none, or a privacy-friendly option)
- Email: support messages and purchase emails
- Sharing: we don’t sell or share data; legal requests (we have no message content to give)
- Data retention and deletion
- Children: not intended for users under 18
