How it works

From your phone to a page-numbered PDF.

EvidentlySo for Windows reads your text conversations from your phone and lets you generate any number of PDF transcripts of them. Here’s what happens at each step and what the PDF shows.

Three steps

It all happens on your Windows PC.

The app walks you through connecting your phone and your Dropbox. You pay on our website, then unlock the app with your email and a code.

  1. Connect your phone

Android: pair your phone with Google Messages for web. iPhone: back it up to your PC with Apple’s free Apple Devices app. See pricing

  2. Choose a conversation

Pick the conversation you need. EvidentlySo reads its messages from your phone. They don’t go to our servers.

  3. Choose the dates and generate a PDF

One PDF covers one conversation over one unbroken stretch of dates. Choose whole days, or start and end at a particular message. The PDF is saved to your Dropbox. Share it by email, a link, or however you send files.

What a PDF page shows

Every message, dated to the second.

What’s in a PDF, part by part

One conversation, one date range

Each PDF covers any date range you choose.

A PDF holds one conversation, from a start date or message to an end date or message, with no dates skipped. Two conversations, or two separate periods, make two PDFs. Page 1 shows the dates it covers.

Whole days are best when you need to demonstrate completeness of a message history - some custody evaluators and investigators prefer this style of export whereas your attorney may only want relevant and focused exchanges.
