Do you store my messages?
No. Your messages go from your phone straight to your own Dropbox. They never touch our servers.
What does the app send to you, then?
Only what’s needed to check your license: the license, whether your purchase or subscription is active, and an anonymous ID for your phone (used to enforce one phone per license). Never message content, contacts, or phone numbers.
What does the app need permission for?
Your text messages (required). That’s how it copies them. Your contacts (optional), used only to show names in your capture. The app saves only the names for numbers in your messages, and only to your own Dropbox. Your address book never leaves your phone. [APP: confirm before launch]
Does the app use analytics or crash reports?

Can I try it before I buy?
Yes. You can download EvidentlySo, connect your Dropbox, and see how many messages it finds before paying. You pay when you’re ready to capture.
Will the court accept these PDFs?
Every court and judge has its own rules, so we can’t promise that. EvidentlySo is built to make your messages clear, complete, and easy to verify. Each export includes a record of what was included and a digital fingerprint of the full capture, so anyone can confirm nothing was changed. Ask your attorney how to present messages in your case.
How do I print text messages for court?
EvidentlySo makes a PDF of the conversations you choose, with the sender, date, and time of each message. You can print it or send it to your attorney. See our guide: How to save text messages from your Android phone for court.
Are screenshots good enough?
Sometimes, but they’re easy to crop and often leave out dates and context. A full export shows the whole conversation in order. Ask your attorney what your case needs. See: Screenshots vs. a full export.
Can the other side tell if the PDF was changed?
Each export names the capture file it came from and includes that file’s digital fingerprint. “The fingerprint lets anyone with the archived capture file confirm it is the exact, unchanged file this PDF names as its source. It does not show the capture is complete. For example, messages deleted from the phone before capture won’t be in it.”
Can I choose which conversations to export?
Yes. The app captures everything on your phone, and you choose which conversations and dates go in each PDF.
Does it include pictures?
Yes, picture messages are included. [APP: confirm RCS, group chats, voice messages, video]
Does EvidentlySo recover deleted messages?
No. It captures what’s on your phone when you run it. Messages deleted before then won’t be in the capture. That’s why it’s best to capture early.
Can I use it for things other than court?
Yes. People use it to keep records for landlords, employers, insurance, or just for themselves.
What about iPhone?
Not yet. EvidentlySo works on Android only for now.
Why isn’t it in the Google Play Store?
We sell directly for now. A Play Store version may come later.
What does “Sold through Link” mean? What’s LINK.COM* EVIDENTLYSO on my statement?
Our payments are handled by Stripe through its Link service. It collects and pays sales tax for us, which is why checkout says “Sold through Link” and your statement shows LINK.COM* EVIDENTLYSO. That’s your EvidentlySo purchase.
How do I cancel Monthly Updates?
Use the Manage your subscription link on our Account page, in the app, or in your receipt email. Your data stays yours after you cancel.
What if I get a new phone?
A license covers one phone at a time. Capture your old phone first, then move your license to the new one. Everything you’ve already captured and exported stays in your Dropbox.
Can I get a refund?
All sales are final. But if you’re having trouble getting your messages out, email support@evidentlyso.com and we’ll work with you until you do. If EvidentlySo can’t work on your phone at all and we can’t fix it, we’ll refund you. See our Refund Policy.
